pantene breakage defense work well once you get your ends cliped

It looks cool when you cut it, son't worry. I had real long hair and I regreted to cut it but now that I got use to it, it looks so cool. cut it, see how you get along with it then if you don't like it, it'll grow a lot longer the month later. The shorter the hair, the faster it grows. ^_^ ;)

You may want to trim off the dead ends, but in the meanwhile use a deep conditioning mask to soothe your hair. You can find one at any drugstore. You also may want to refrain from dying it at least until you have your hair back in good condition.

The very first thing you want to do is to have your ends trimmed by a professional stylist and apply a protein treatment for strength. Aphogee has an excellent protein treatment. Nextly you should research a line of products that repair damaged hair. Aphogee, Biolage and Redken, Organic Root Stimulator and Gyeye products have worked well for me.

I don't believe you need to cut off ALL your hair and start from scratch. You need to strengthen your hair and start off fresh with all split ends clipped.

After you've completed these steps you should experiment with different protective styles in order for your hair to rest and regenerate itself.

If you cannot afford going to a professional stylist beauty schools a cheaper alternative. Work is performed by students but supervised by instructors.

i had the same thing with my hair bc i color alot too, grey hair runs in my family really bad so ive been coloring for maybe 20 yrs,my hair was always dry and brittle.i hated it,so about 2 weeks ago i had it cut(its about shoulder length now) and it feels so much better.if i were you i would have it cut.it will eliminate your split ends and give it more body, and it will be so much easier to care for.

I had the same problem so I cut mine off a year and a half ago, to my shoulders. It was waist length before and it's grown out some but my hair looks a lot better.

Here's a few tips.. don't brush you're hair until it's dry.. you can finger comb it but nothing else. If you must blow dry your hair, use the lowest heat setting you have on your dryer.

I never curl my hair and I rarely use styling products but since my hair is all once length I don't have to. I haven't had a single split end and haven't had my hair trimmed since I had it cut off.

Depending on your natural hair (curly/straight/course/fine.. etc), find a hair style that doesn't require much more then a wash and brush. A good hair dresser can help you find one that works with your hair and the shape of your face and it easy to style.

You can try Queen Helen's Cholesterol Hot Oil Treatments.. or you can also get the cream and start at the roots then work it towards the end. Wrap your hair in Saran Wrap and wrap a warm damp towel for about an hour. You must keep it warm for the oil to seep into the hair shaft. Sometimes this works but it depends on how damaged the hair is.

Good luck to you

I am not sure if you can still get this at Sally's but go the nearest Sally's Beauty Supply and look for a product called liquid hair, that stuff if great. To keep from picking at or combing your hair try using styles like braids and buns anything to wrap it up so you won't be brushing or combing all day.

If you can't find the Liquid Hair, then buy Cholesterol for hair repair, you can get this at the local dollar store. This works really well also.

You will also need to buy a clarifying shampoo, this shampoo will remove any build-up on your hair from other shampoo, conditioner, and styling products that you have used.

You will want to begin the following routine; You will need a pick and a wide tooth comb to keep by your shampoo and conditioner. (1). Shampoo 2 times with clarifying shampoo. (2).Apply cholesterol, rinse while using fingers to gently detangle, don't try to work out all tangles, you want to avoid as much stress as possible. (3).Squeeze out excess water and Re-apply cholesterol heavy this time, use pick to detangle but remember DoNot pull, work through easily, then use wide tooth comb to comb through the entire head of hair, from scalp to ends. (4).Twist hair into a bun on top of head, clip, cover with plastic cap or towel and leave up for about 20 minutes.Rinse and comb through with wide tooth comb, blow dry. Do Not comb or brush once hair is dry.Pull hair up into bun and leave up over night, the next morning I would only place loose hairs or let down and braid.

You will want to repeat this process for 3 days in a row, to insure that the clarifying shampoo has removed all build-up. Afterwards I would suggest the following: Use your regular shampoo for daily shampooing and use the cholesterol as daily conditioner, use clarifying shampoo 1 time a week. Do this for at least 2 weeks and see if there is a big change.

I would also like to suggest Paul Mitchell products as they do not leave any build-up. You can buy the generic at Sally's Beauty Supply. But do continue using the Cholesterol as a deep conditioner.

Good Luck, I hope you don't have to cut your hair.I think the above will help prevent that.

You do not have to cut it all off, I had a problem similar to yours and they only had to cut six inches off to get rid of the split ends. I have grown most of it back in 12 months, every eight weeks I get it trimmed and that makes it grow faster. Stop bleaching your hair that is worse thing you could do to it. I recommend trying Paul Mtchel's tree sweet shampoo and Ausee's three minute re-constructor. They have do wonders to my hair, and I get compliments all the time. Good luck!

Get a couple inches cut off. Get a good hydrating/moisurizing shampoo/conditioner. My hairdresser said to wet the hair, put in conditioner , and put on a shower cap and leave it on, she said all night, I would just do an hour or 2. then rinse it out. that helps hydrate it.
